Dear Theresa, Jeff, Michele, Denise, David and Family,
We were shocked and very saddened to hear about Steve's passing. We have all known each other for years because of growing up in Crabtree, going to the same school and church, and owning family businesses in a small town. Our dad, Vince, seemed to share an abundance of the same exemplary qualities that made Steve a remarkable man: kindness, selflessness, caring, generosity, support for church and community, and most of all, love for family.
Our entire family enjoyed working with the Long family for the Sunday Festival Dinner. Steve was always behind the scenes helping but he never felt he had to "step in and take over" because he was confident that his children could manage the family business. However, it was always reassuring to know he was near by! No one could call people up to a buffet like him!
It is difficult to lose a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather in such a sudden way, but take comfort in knowing that he is up in heaven golfing and shooting the breeze with our dad, and a few more of the best men that ever came out of Crabtree!
You will always remain in our hearts and prayers as you begin to heal.
Take care,
Natalie, Natalie, Melissa, Vinny and Vanessa
